hi, hello.

In case you wanted a little intel beyond the writing: I grew up in East Tennessee where I developed a love of fried chicken, boxed wine, college football, and telling a good story--particularly stories about the South. I've published editorial work and essays across a number of outlets including the Guardian, NYLON, Elle, Entertainment Weekly, Men's Health, Vulture, and The Hollywood Reporter. I spent five years at Esquire as a staff writer, where I learned to appreciate bourbon, white tennis shoes, and restaurants that serve appetizer-sized food, priced as entrees.

I recieved my masters in communications from Georgetown University with a concentration in marketing. I have extensive experience in copywriting, ghostwriting, and branded content. These days, I split my time across narrative nonfiction, magazine feature writing, and freelance marketing work.

I currently live in Brooklyn with my husband and two cats, Puddle and Jimmy.
