hi, hello.

In case you wanted a little intel beyond the writing: I grew up in East Tennessee where I developed a love of fried chicken, boxed wine, college football, and telling a good story---particularly those about the South. I've published work at a number of publications including NYLON, Elle, Entertainment Weekly, Vulture, and The Hollywood Reporter. I spent five years at Esquire as a staff writer, where I learned to appreciate bourbon, white tennis shoes, and restaurants that serve appetizer-sized food and call them entrees. I currently live in Brooklyn with my partner and two cats, Puddle and Jimmy.
